Meet Layla
Layla is a high school student with big dreams but little direction. She wants to build a better future for herself, but she isn’t sure what career path to take, how to prepare for college, or where to begin. Without mentors or access to professional guidance, the future feels uncertain and overwhelming.
Through Our Impact’s Build Your Path (BYP) Program, Layla is no longer navigating alone. She gains access to career exploration, workforce readiness training, mentorship, and individualized support designed to help her discover her strengths and goals. Through workshops, career assessments, and real-world exposure, she begins to build the confidence, skills, and connections needed to pursue meaningful employment and a clear path forward.
Meet Aden
Aden is a young adult facing challenges that are often unspoken in his community. Stress, anxiety, and pressure weigh heavily on him, and conversations about mental health are often avoided or misunderstood. Without healthy coping tools or access to support, many youth in his situation struggle in silence, and some turn to substance use as a way to cope with difficult emotions.
Through Our Impact’s Resilient Roots Program, Aden finds a safe space to learn, heal, and grow. He participates in culturally responsive discussions that address mental health stigma, gains access to education on substance use prevention, and learns healthy coping mechanisms to replace harmful patterns. He also connects with resources tailored to his needs, along with mentorship and community support that help him build resilience and make healthier choices.
